Weebly for Education is a free website and platform learning tool for
teachers and students. It was founded in 2006 by San Francisco California based
Company. The purpose of this website is to help teachers and their students put
their information quickly and easily online.
People can also create a website blog for free. It allows teachers to set up an
account that gives access to up to 40 students where students log in which is
assigned by a teacher. Teachers are in control over which websites are
public or private, and which students can edit. When exploring more on this
site, teachers can post class updates, homework, assignments, and news for
parents using the blogging features. In addition to these available tools, you
can also power your sites with elements like photos, maps, videos, and text by
simply dragging and dropping them into a place. The drag and drop website
builder is also easy to create. Additionally, you can always edit the text. There is also a
mobile apps where you can build and manage your website from your devices.
The additional
features include video backgrounds, Full Width Image & Color Backgrounds,
and Customs Headers. In the video backgrounds you can choose from Weebly's
video library or upload your own video. The Full Width Image & Color Backgrounds,
you can add variety and customization by stacking independent sections into your
page layout. All these features will be attractive or enhance your viewers if
you add more on these feature elements.
Teacher Tube
Teacher Tube is a video
sharing website launched by Jason Smith on March 6, 2007.. There are free accessible classroom resources,
educational videos, and audios for all subjects for students and teachers to
view in order to learn a concept or skill. Teacher Tube tells the grade level
for the videos that are shared. The videos are engaging for learners. I like
that it is free for signing up to be a member. By signing up on Teacher Tube,
you can upload your own video and educational songs which you can share
worldwide for free and will enhance student learning. Teacher Tube is a safe
site for teachers, schools, and home school children. The members are encourage
to not only upload educational relevant videos. Users have ability to preserve
the integrity of the site by flagging videos that are inappropriate. The
service is free for anyone who sign up or explore. All these resources are free
to watch and is more interactive and enhancing for teachers and learners.

Prezi is a website for creating presentations.
You can add videos from YouTube, images, or make presentations private or
public. There are tutorial sections to navigate. Prezi is almost like Microsoft
PowerPoint where you can personalize the fonts, color, or to format your
presentations. It also has zoom in and zoom out buttons and with a click you
can zoom right in on it. What interests me about this website is that there are
options to edit and present offline. Prezi
for Windows/Mac allows me to download my presentations so
that I could present offline.
I actually have a weebly website for my class. It's great! So user friendly and a great way to stay connected to students and parents outside of the classroom.
