The seventh literacy website that I explored is Jumpstart. This is another great literacy website which provides a variety of resources for teachers and available for any subject and grades. Jumpstart is a national early education organization working toward the day every child in America enters kindergarten prepared to succeed. They provide language, literacy, and social-emotional programming for preschool children from under-resourced communities and promote quality early learning for all children. Upon exploring details about this website, the site is separated into various tabs. By clicking on different tabs, it will guide you to what resources you need. There are resources available for  teachers and resources available for students. Some of the resources could be downloaded into PDF file and you can print out to use in classroom. Jumpstart also has its own collection of free teacher resources. These resources  includes activities, worksheets, lesson plans, and curriculum. This site is well organized and easy to explore. It offers different literacy resources that teacher and students can use.
JumpStart also has a large collection of fun, educational classroom activities that is perfect for preschool and elementary school teachers. Teachers can use these free classroom activity ideas to make their classes fun and exciting. In addition to teachers resources, this site also has mobile games and videos that are educational for kids. The games at Jumpstart are designed to focus on math, reading, and critical thinking. It is fun for kids to learn.
While clicking on each tab on this site, it got my attention there are numerous worksheet which you can print and use for any of your grade level students. There are exciting and interesting reading activities and worksheets. They serve as great teaching website for parents and teachers who are looking for ways to improve their kids’ learning abilities. Overall all, this is a great literacy website. If you need to play a game or download worksheets and lesson plans, this site has them all for free.
