 Storynory (http://www.storynory.com) is a free website to listen to different types of stories for kids. Storynory brings you an audio story every week.  It provides a collection of original, fairy tales, myths & World, Poems & Music and classic children's audio stories for entertainment and educational purposes. The students can follow along with the story as it read to them since the text is included on the site. Each one is beautifully read by Natasha and friends. Let Natasha's voice beguile you with classic fairy tales, new children's stories, poems, myths, adventures and romance. There are available features to download the audio to your computer.
Storynory was founded by Hugh Fraser and Matthew Lynn. Hugh and Matthew knew each other at Oxford University in the 1980s where they both worked on Isis, the student magazine.
The website original stories contains many of kid's stories that are exclusive which includes stories about frogs, princesses, pirates, witches, birds, dogs, and people. The classic fairy tales by Hans Christian Anderson, The Brothers Grimm, Charles Perrault, Aesop and others.  The stories and poems by classic authors includes Lewis Carroll, Rudyyard Kipling, Oscar Wilde, Charles Dickens, Edward Lear and others. The Myths and World stories are Myths of Greece, Rome, ancient Norse legends, and stories from around the world. For educational stories, sotrynory has Bible Sotires, King Arthur, Saints, Robin Hood, and stories that enhance vocabulary. There are also different nursery rhymes and music for kids.
This website serves as a good learning tool for ELL students where they could select different types of stories to listen to since the audio is already recorded. Teachers could also write their comprehnsion questions based on the story read or select by the student.
